| We are always accepting applications for the position of Firefighter. Volunteering is both enjoyable and rewarding but does require Dedication, Loyalty, Initiative and Courage. Dedication to training and learning, Loyalty to the Department, Initiative to accomplish what needs to be done and the Courage to risk your life for another. If you think you have what it takes then we are interested in talking to you. No experience necessary. The Fire Department provides the equipment and training for fire suppression. If you choose to become a first responder, the department will also provide Emergency Medical training as well. |

| Part of the application process includes a Criminal History Background from Texas Department of Public Safety. You will need to go by Lufkin Police Department Monday - Friday from 1- 3 for fingerprinting. Open this DPS file for information on where to mail it. |
