From the Chief
  Hudson Fire Department is proud to be the the Emergency Services Provider for
Hudson, Tx.  Our coverage area consist of 105 square miles.  We feel that we provide the highest level of service available with our all Volunteer staff.  Providing
ALS First Response, Public Education, Fire Suppression, HAZ-MAT Mitigation to
the operations level and an ongoing training program helps us to achieve this level of
service.  Our Department is made up of members from the community who feels
that it is their responsibility to give something back.
   All of the members of the Hudson Fire Department spend numerous hours away
from their family for training and responding to emergency calls.  Our Department  has taken a family approach to assist in volunteer retention.  We strive to involve all family members of each Firefighter.  We regularly hold family gatherings on Holidays and Birthdays to live by our motto "Our Family Protecting Your Family".
   As we have in the past, we will be actively recruiting volunteers to assist our current Firefighters to provide service to this area as well as others.  If your are interested, we will provide you with information and an up close look at Firefighting and EMS Services.  Our Department provides the training and equipment for all our volunteers.  In conjunction with Angelina College, we support our members to continue training and become certified EMS, Haz-Mat Technicians as well as advanced Firefighters.
